paint nights! get ready for some fun!!
I get a lot of requests to have a paint night offered, so here you go! I will be offering scheduled ones of my own and also I will accept ones requested by you as well (please allow at least a month 'heads up' in advance!") I will post the scheduled ones here on my website and also on my blog and facebook page. This will go for both the paint nights and if I schedule a kids event.

If you're looking for a creative outlet or just want a fun evening to get away from everyday stress... this would be the class for you! You can come & relax, socialize as you paint a unique piece of art that will be yours to take home at the end of the evening! Be proud! Hang it up once you get home! Don't worry, if you have never painted before, this is a good time to start, as it is always a comfortable atmosphere with others around you who are probably in the same boat! For those of you who are a little more advanced, you can lend some moral support ;-).

I can either come to you and we can have the paint party at your location OR I have a great place where you can bring the gang and we can paint in Cowan at the Cowan Training Center. All supplies are provided, so all you have to do is show up with your favorite bottle of wine, I will have some munchies for you to enjoy, feel free to bring some of your own if you wish, too! (or other beverages), and I will guide you, color by color, step by step, on a gallery quality canvas (that means - no need for a frame, the edges are gallery wrapped!) as you create your own original artwork!

SO, PLEASE make plans ahead of time, gather your group, get a head count and reserve your spots by calling the studio or paying through Paypal (payment can be made to redstreake@mac.com). Lets get this painting party started!

I offer ongoing lessons for kids with the goal of teaching your little Vermeers to draw and paint in all kinds of mediums. I have all kinds of fun projects that are designed to bring out the artist in every child. It never gets boring! I draw and paint right along with the students, using a step-by-step method and plenty of one on one guidance to make sure that everyone comes home with a successful project. Art is supposed to be fun, but at the same time, it helps teach them color and value, shapes and forms. The classes are short, only an hour and a half, but most of the time, a child's attention span, I find, is very short as well. I try and keep them totally immersed in that whole timeframe, so when they are done, they are surprised that time has gone by so fast :-). Open their minds to the wonderful world of pastels and watercolor...pencil and graphite...collage and markers! Give them the gift of art lessons!
